  2. Thank you for posting this list. I've been searching for "quality" abandoned locations in the US for a while now.

    Apparently, for a minute, Disney considered using Discovery Island after it closed to team up with the makers of the Myst pc games and create a real life interactive experience. Sigh...if only.

  6. I suggest the section of Famagusta, in Cyprus, which was abandoned when the Turks invaded or liberated the north of the island in 1974. Unfortunately, access is prohibited.
